Between the Logs, Windows, and Doors
Just as the wood is affected by weather, so is the caulking and chinking of your log home. Caulking is used to seal gaps: between logs, around windows and doors, and around vents. This caulking can crack or pull away over time, allowing moisture to get into cracks.
If your log home has chinking (as opposed to chinkless construction), it also can show signs of wear. We can inspect, repair, and refinish these parts of your home’s exterior.
Based on our inspection, we will replace, repair, and/or seal your caulking and chinking. We use only the best products—from Perma-Chink® Systems, Inc.
